Like all of the Cindwood looms I have, this one, as I expected, is well made. I bought it to replace my first s-shaped Afghan loom that was lost in the chaos of moving. Typical me, I managed to order the wrong one. S-shape was replaced with round. 5/8 gauge became 7/16. And it is 22” wide.! I’m a very small person and I was overwhelmed by its size. I put it in the back of my closet and forgot about it for ages. This week, I found I needed to get started on an Afghan as a gift for a friend. Time sensitive. So, I pulled out this loom and started knitting. What a wonderful surprise. I settled on my reclining chair in our family room. The huge circle sits comfortably on my lap and ankles. Positioned this way, it’s very easy to e-wrap and knit off. And the biggest surprise of all is how easy it is to work the 7/15 gauge pegs. I’m about one third through this project. I absolutely love the fine knit stitches made by this loom. For travel purposes, I have just ordered an s-shaped loom in the 7/15 gauge.
