This pretty cowl by Renee Van Hoy looks hard, but if you can knit and purl, you can make it. No seams, no ends to weave other than the cast on and cast off. Is it fun to loom? You bet! Loom: Any peg combination with a multiple of 4 may be used. 5/8 inch gauge loom with pegs in multiples of 4. Sample made on the CinDwood Crafts 100 peg afghan loom. A 120 peg ½ inch gauge loom may be substituted, as well as a 60 peg ¾ inch gauge loom. Worked in the round. Smaller sizes may also be made - this pattern will adapt very easily. Yarn: bulky weight wool yarn, divided in two colors. C1 = 150 yards, darker color C2 = 130 yards, lighter color Sample made with Beaverslide Dry Goods Fisherman’s Weight 3 Ply in Rosehips and Knit Picks Swish Bulky in Bare.
