Made for my friend Jodi these comfy and stylish slipper socks feature a combination of rib and mock cable stitches and use german short row shaping for the heel and toe. I learned the basics of german short row shaping from project notes and photos done by Brenda Myers which she did based off a needle knit technique which you can view here http://www.ravelry.com/projects/domedweller/german-short-... Written pattern includes detailed row by row instructions for entire pattern as well as explanation of abbreviations/techniques used.
