Available as a downloadable PDF Learn how to make vertical stripes on your next hat using this fun pattern by Amanda Pratt. *Note: This hat can be done on ANY EVEN NUMBERCircle Loom. The stitches used does shrink the hat a bit so use a larger loom than desired size. the loom used in the photo is the Adult Small Hat loom 3/4" gauge. The finished project fits small child *hat in photo is snug on my 4 year old. You would want to use the CindWood Adult Large Hat loom to make this hat for a regular adult.
I love this loom for making hats with finer yarns. I don’t mind knitting more stitches per hat because they turn out very dressy. And, as always, they are the highest quality I expect from CinDWood looms.
I have about ten CinDWood knitting looms. For more than a decade, I’ve made all of my knitting projects with them. The smallest being covers for my grandson’s golf clubs and the biggest being queen size Afghans. I love the variety of sizes and gages. The designs are well thought out and the looms are well made. I’ve never had a problem with any of them. This loom is going with me to our cottage on a lake where I’ll work on scarves for our daughter and son.
I was very disappointed to learn there was crochet involved in the pattern. If I would have been able to see that before I purchased the pattern I never would have. That being said…. This is the first pattern that I wasn’t thrilled about.
