Recorded Zoom Class

Nau Rattan Shawl In Urdu language Nau means nine and Ratan means “precious jewels”, so over the time in literature the term is used for describing mostly novelties that has a medley of colors, jewels, or elements.

I am presenting here my Nau Rattan Shawl, its beautiful rectangular lacey shawl knitted using 9 different colors of yarn, each in a different lace stitch pattern.

Loom for class: 76  pegs 7/16’ gauge Cindwood Looms. Can use ½ inch gauge looms as well.

By the end of the class participants will:

- Understand reading lace charts and symbols - learn mix and match the patterns to create over 20 different lace shawls, stoles and mufflers,

- Have a beautiful booklet that has detailed knitting instructions for all nine lace stitch patterns and guidelines on knitting the Nau Rattan Shawl.
