As I said in the title - this was the best birthday present I got this year! (I may or may not have bought it for myself . . . ) I haven't used it yet, but like all CinDWood Looms, it is lovely, and the craftsmanship is excellent. I was a bit nervous about how it would be packaged - it seems like it would be a bit awkward to mail - but it was well packaged and padded and arrived safely. I don't necessarily NEED a loom this large, but I figured it was better to buy a bigger afghan loom, just in case I find myself in need of one on down the road. It will probably be used for smaller afghans that don't require all of the pegs, but the beauty of this loom is that it has 200 pegs in a 7/16" gauge, which is just two more pegs than that 7/16" afghan loom made by another company. While that loom is very popular, it also has a VERY awkward shape that gives me a headache to think about. (No disrespect to that company, I just don't think I have the dexterity or the sanity to handle a loom in that shape.) I bought this loom because not only can it be used for smaller afghans (if I don't use all of the pegs) or a larger afghan (if I ever decide that I want to make a wider afghan), but I also have several afghan patterns that were written with that other loom in mind, and this is the perfect substitute for that other loom. In short, it's the perfect loom for whatever you need. Well done, CinDWood!

I have both the 5/8 and 7/16 giant oval looms . They're big but I love them ! It's a bit of a struggle to maneuver them but once you figure it out they're really great .
This loom is so easy to use. It is 2 pegs larger than the KB White Infinity Loom but is so much easier to manipulate . Don’t let the large size fool you. Its not that heavy and it is easy to use… with no tight corners to cause creases in your blankets. Check out videos on youtube of me using it. Easy Peasy! Although this gauge is for #4 yarn many loomers also love to use #6 yarn. If you do so, you will notice the pegs are taller than the KB looms so less chances of your yarn popping off the pegs! I love it!!! 🥰
